Reebok T4.2 Treadmill

Now this review is based on a few things, mainly the product in question as this is what you're buying, but I will also mention the customer service that came with it. So far, from using this treadmill a few times since getting it set up the Saturday just gone (9th March 2011) I've had no real problems with it (Finding the serial number was more of an issue than anything else). Firstly, the console, it's quite straight forward with plenty of different modes to use if you don't want to manually change speed/inclines often. Whilst in use it shows heart rate (with a chest belt), calories burned, current speed, current incline, time left and an image of what to expect next whilst on a pre-set programme, which is pretty much all you'd need. Next up, noise level, whilst I can't compare with other treadmill's because this is my first, the only real loud noise is from your running shoes, hitting the belt. Play some music over it and it's perfectly liveable. Folding up/pulling down just required some actual playing around to understand how it worked (the manual is not that great for explaining, but it's a decent start). It's definitely a million times easier to move when folded up since the thing weighs almost 100kg so it's probably better having it downstairs than up if you have the space available since it's a killer getting it up a flight of stairs. The machine itself is very capable at high speeds and incline, due to it's 2hp motor, it does seem to struggle a little at very slow speeds (talking 0.5mph-1mph) but no one really uses treadmills at that speed so it's a moot point. All in all, if you're looking for a decently priced machine (especially at the moment) with enough grunt behind it to deliver good speeds at a high incline then this is one to stick on the top of your list. The customer service was very good, for the few problems I had with delivery and the other minor issue (unrelated to this product but part of the same sale) it was resolved extremely quickly and to my satisfaction. From the get go, JB (one of the CS guys at sweatband) answered my every question, quickly and precisely and after a short call, I knew which treadmill I wanted. If you have any queries, ask for JB, whilst I've not dealt with any of the others at sweatband, that was because there was never any need to look for anyone else since JB always got the job done.
