Coronavirus Impact Update

Thank you for purchasing from Sweatband.com - we’ve been serving the UK with sports and fitness equipment for nearly 20 years and have always strived to provide the highest standards of service to our clients.

In light of the current epidemic affecting all of us in the UK, please be aware of our current operational  status:

  • Our store in central London is currently closed in compliance with government advice.
  • All of our warehouses and delivery companies are operational.

As a direct result of the closure of retail stores as well as gyms and leisure centres across the UK, there has been a sharp increase in demand for products supplied by us. Unfortunately, this has resulted in our sales, customer service and warehouse teams getting into a backlog trying to handle the volumes. We appreciate that many clients are ordering from us to ensure they remain fit and healthy during this difficult time and we will be continuing to fulfil orders in the safest possible way!

We would be grateful if you could be aware of the following details:

  • We are currently operating with 3-4 day lag on getting orders fulfilled from our warehouse. Whilst we normally manage to get orders placed on our website before 2pm dispatched on the same working day, this is not possible currently. Please note that it’s not safe for us to introduce additional personnel into the warehouse to handle the backlog as this may contravene the social distancing requirements.
  • All of our customer service teams are working from home currently and operational. Please be aware that there is a 2-3 day delay in contacting clients to book in their heavy / bulky items.
  • We will catch up quicker if the volume of clients could be kind enough to avoid chasing their deliveries! For orders that contain an item that has an individual box weight of over 50kg, you will be contacted to agree a convenient delivery date within 3-4 working days of placing your order. For all other orders, you will receive an email with a tracking link for the courier used to dispatch your parcel.
  • We use multiple delivery companies and ALL delivery services have rightly suspended taking items into clients' homes and are offering a service to the doorstep only. This is to minimise a risk of virus spread and should be respected and supported by everyone. Please be very aware of this issue when ordering very heavy fitness machines - you and others in your household will need to take the item inside your home!
  • All installation and value add services such as packaging removal have been suspended by all delivery companies.

We are working as hard as possible in conjunction with our delivery partners to get through this unprecedented set of circumstances. Our priorities remain the safety of both our staff and customers and we will update this page as the situation changes.
