I needed a machine while the gym is closed that didn't cost £3/4k. I was surprised at how good this 2 in 1 is & I actually use it as a 3 in 1. Easy to put together & has a smooth operation. Recommended.

It’s a well made machine on the face of it. We had a previous model For about 10 years which eventually had a part break on it which was non-replaceable. So we bought this one. It was easy to assemble and aside from a few moments of confusion figuring out how to plug it in (the socket is down by the rear feet) we had no issues. After a few days of use, the bike started squeaking quite badly. To the point where it was unusable because of the noise. It was hard to figure out where it was coming from, and I thought it was the front foot joint. After a lot of messing about, it turned out to be the connection where the handlebar strut joins the main body frame. After tightening the bolts further the squeak stopped, but it is worrying that the issue will return. Aside from that the functionality is really good. Time will tell after frequent and heavy use whether it stands the test of time.

I have been well and truly ripped off by Sweatband! This cross trainer is for sale on York Fitness website for £259, however Sweatband selling for £379 which I paid. In the time since I bought mine a few weeks ago I see the price has now gone up to £479!!! Shame on you sweatband for capitalising on such an awful situation.

I am very happy with the cycle Cross trainer. It arrived and took some assembly to put together but this was very simple and manageable and took a couple of hours. It’s great for home use as it doesn’t take up too much room and it has the electronic pad for settings using the programmes or your own manual setting. I would highly recommend this to others looking for a good exercise machine to use at home!

Great price and quick delivery. Its replaced our old York Cross trainer which was used every day for 7yrs. New one has easy to use screen and is a really good solid construction. Really easy to put together

great tem spot on delivery

Assembled within an hour. Very robust and good quality. Quiet so can watch TV while using! Good number of programmes although set up instructions a bit limited. Happy with price based on quality.

bought 3 weeks ago, so far no problem.

So, this was my first cross trainer, though I did have an ancient excercise bike which was not fun to use! This by comparison is really great and perfect for a 60 something year old who's never done regular excercise. It took less than an hour to put together and though the instructions recommended two people, it wasn't difficult to do on my own. The instructions are very clear, and a very solid and well-built piece of kit. As with anything new, it took a while to get used to it, particularly how to use the programmes (others have mentioned this too in that the instructions aren't particularly good here), but after about a week I began to really explore its possibilities. The great thing is that there are so many variations so you don't need to get bored doing the same routine each day - important to keep motivation up. All in all, after much research, this was definitely a wise choice.

I was split between the bike and the cross trainer so went for the 2 in 1, luckily I'm really happy with my choice. I have the machine in my spare room and I have found myself using it literally on a daily basis which is great news for my overall health. So far I have lost nearly 10 kgs in weight over the last 3 months all from just exercising a bit more. The machine itself is great because you are able to switch up things. I like to do 10 minutes on the trainer then 5 minutes on the bike then back to the trainer for an additional 10 minutes. I'd recommend this to others who would like both machines but perhaps the budget cannot accommodate both.

Good value for money but for me this machine isn't as good as others that I have used in gyms. Being an experienced cyclist and having run many half marathons before I just don't find the resistance levels enough for a satisfying workout. I would recommend this to beginners though who are new to fitness as it is very good value for money.

Best of both worlds with this 2in1 - Although I must say I do find the motion of the cross trainer a lot more natural. Saves space by only having to own one machine and also I find it makes your workouts a bit more interesting.
