Firstly I think the product, the Reebok Z9 upright exercise bike, is very good and I'd recommend it. I also say that Sweatband's customer support is good - when the problem arose with my bike, they took genuine concern and arranged for an engineer to come out as quickly as possible.
On the negative side, firstly after one session the belt came off the flywheel so I had no resistance. Sweatband said this is rare and might have had something to do with being knocked in transport but I suspect it wasn't put on right in the factory. Although I had booked an engineer from Reebok thru Sweatband to come and fix it, it was going to take two weeks so I fixed it myself however most people do not have the kit to take off a pedal and crank (which is what you need to do to take off the casing to access the belt drive and flywheel). I still kept the appointment though as the casing had not been put together right in the factory and he screwed it together properly.
I'd also add that the assembly instructions are not great and the print and diagram size is really small - but this was minor pain.
So all in all, this is a good product and at £200 is almost as good as the £4000 bikes you get in a public gym. Just be aware that you might get a bike with an assembly error that needs fixing. Having read reviews of other bikes before I bought this I can safely say that they too have problems with some bikes so it is just one of those things. The important thing is 1) the bike is good and good value and 2) the customer support is good, they actually care (thanks Michal!).
