DKN AM-3i Exercise Bike

I got this item to help improve my health. Its easy to use and the resistance settings can be adjusted to suit . The resistance is computer controlled so all I have to do is peddle. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Excellent price first class delivery the bike is sturdy well-made and well worth the money. If you are willing to put the Work I’ve had it two weeks and I’ve already done in 300 miles on it. The only issue is you have to buy the strap to get more profiles so it’s not really Bluetooth unless you get the strap to go round your waist and then you have to subscribe to the app as well so that’s a bit of a con but apart from that it’s very good exercise bike highly recommended.

I had a DKN AM-5i for 9 years and rode it three time a week but the resistance stopped working. Having had DKN before. I knew of their quality. The 3i does not disappoint. It came very securely packaged. Before assembling, I will suggest sitting down with a cup of tea and just looking through the instructions from start to finish. Assembly was simple and can be done with one person although it is slightly easier with two. About 30 minutes. The bike does everything I wanted of it. The programs it comes as bundled with are good enough for me but you can link it using Bluetooth to some of the tablet/phone apps. A well designed and engineered piece of kit. Well made and sturdy. If this one lasts 9 years, it will probably see me out. Recommended.

Excellent product and very good quality from a build perspective. I did a lot of research before buying as wanted a reasonably priced but good quality bike and this has delivered so far. The bike is solid and stable. The display is simple, clear and easy to understand as are the programmes. The seat takes a little while to get used to and I'll probably replace it with a more padded version! Overall very impressed and not disappointed!

Easy to assemble, super smooth action and oh so quiet. Early days but am loving it.

Great value for money. Very quiet. Sturdy. Good, clear, colour screen. Good range of difficulty. Only issue, an ipad in the rest covers the screen, so had to by a separate rest.

Easy to assemble and follow the program setup. Both my husband and I are using it daily, which was the aim, and enjoying improving our fitness. Only downside, no water bottle holder

Pleased with this bike. It’s completely silent, has loads of programmes and is comfortable enough for short sessions. It was tricky to put together once I got to the front column, handlebars and wiring the console together- definitely needs two people to manage this part. Otherwise easy despite very minimal information in the manual. I had no time to get to the gym and this has helped me build my fitness at home in short, regular sessions. The heart monitor connects easily via Bluetooth. I haven’t yet attempted to use Kinomap, as I’m unsure of how to connect.

Excellent piece of kit. Bit of a faff to build up, but you only do it once. Pre-set programmes are a great help. Can become addictive trying to beat yesterdays results 😀

The DKN AM-3i exercise bike is very sturdy and performs well. Resistance levels are good and will suit any one from a beginner to someone a lot stronger. I have manually taken the resistance up to max and it performs as if you are riding a bike up a good hill. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and as yet cannot fault it. The only thing that I have modified is that I have put the wheels for moving the bike at the back near the flywheel and find is easier to move when required.

Excellent quality and very quiet. Bluetooth picks up my external HR monitor straight away. The display gives all the relevant information in a clear easily readable format, so initial feelings are excellent product and very happy. Just hope it continues to work as well through time, but with DKNs apparent track record I'm hoping that shouldnt be an issue. Oh and looks great! Would highly recommend this product.

The exercise bike was easy to put together and of robust construction.

Very smooth and works well. Straightforward to assemble but connecting the electrics was awkward, otherwise fine.

With some phone advice from Sweatband we bought this one. Easy to put together, it is robust and works smoothly. We just do the simple Manual operation and resistance changes as needed easily.

Excellent delivery service and kept informed all the time. The bike itself is ok for the price and is quiet in operation with a comfy seat. Assembly instructions poor but you can work it out . Finish on sone of the materials not of very high quality and I cut myself in one of the pedal screws in assembly as it had some loose filings on it . I previously had a an old Tunturi bike which was of excellent build quality. Found securing the saddle difficult and not keen on the handle bar fixing as doesn’t seem very secure . However overall a good bike for the price .

Great piece of equipment. Has more than enough range of resistance for me. Seat is large and well padded perfect for my big rump. It is very quiet when in use. Assembly was easy and straight forward. Will highly recommend.

This an attractive looking bike that functions well. It is easy to assemble and comes with clear instructions. Unlike some bikes, this one runs almost silently. The computer provides a number of exercise programs but the bike can also be used in manual mode. The resistance offered should be sufficient even for really fit users. The only slight issue I have is that (like many other bikes) the heart rate recorder is not that accurate. If HR recording is important to you then I would recommend a bluetooth HR sensor.

So far so good. I am really please with the bike and the many exercise option. It is very quiet and a great addition to any home gym.

Very easy to put together took me about an hour. Easy to select programmes and is comfortable whilst riding as good as if not better than many I have used in gyms. Excellent value for money

I love this much more than I thought I would any product designed to make me exercise! It is sturdy, smooth and (near) silent, and despite the display being the least high-end part of the bike, it's still very good. The assembly manual would have benefitted from a few words or extra diagrams here and there (the display didn't work when I switched it on because, fearfully, I hadn't wanted to press together the electric connections too hard) but overall it wasn't too much of a chore to build. It's reassuringly heavy and just a pleasure to use. Really glad this drunken purchase paid off!

Made a mistake on my postcode so couldn’t be delivered. I did phone delivery company and was quite annoyed. However I did apologise as it was completely my error. Another delivery was arranged immediately. Humble pie! The cycle is very easy to put together. Only help as needed was to lift the base out of the box. Very good tools supplied to help assembled. Smooth and silent. Easy to change user and difficulty settings. Solid build

The heart monitor is waste of time even when it works it is not accurate. The height adjustment on the seat will not go lower enough for my wife she is 1.65 meters high. I had to drill an extra hole in the seat shaft for her. Other than these 2 points the bike is well made and works well.

This is a great bike, easy to assemble and great to use. I use most days.

The bike is good - it's smooth and pretty stable. It was very tricky to assemble though - the instructions aren't helpful.

Easy to build. Works extremely well. Links up with Kinomap and gives a great variable resistance ride. Almost totally silent. Don’t like the saddle but £10 gets a new one from eBay.

Overall impression is that this a very sturdy piece of kit. Nice smooth flywheel action adds to that. Works well with Kinomap for added interest while cycling.

Very good bike. Had a problem where the speed/distance failed to record but the problem seems to have rectified itself?

Excellent exercise bike at a reasonable price. Bluetooth connection enables synchronisation with kino app, alternatively just do your own thing. Not too bulky but solid and stable.

This is an excellent bike, for the price it seems much higher quality, have had for months and gives a very smooth ride, with more than enough programs and resistant, very solid and cannot fault in any way.

Very reliable exercise bike. Not had any problems with it. I am using it with Kinomap app on my tablet and it syncs very well. I am quite tall (1.9m) and am able to adjust seat for comfy ride. Though cannot ride out of saddle then my knees hit bars, so maybe I need something bigger or more configurable.

a really nice exercise bike - although my first so no previous comparisons. very smooth mechanism, easy to set up profiles and programmes. OK on the bottom for up to 30 minutes. I holder for a water bottle would complete a great bike

Really excellent. Reasonably straightforward to put together. Slightly difficult to figure out how to set the programmes as the instructions are poor, but doesn’t take too long to figure it out. Good for anyone starting out on a fitness regime, all the way up to those who are very fit. Probably not good enough for anyone who is super fit.

The bike kit was relatively easy to assemble although the wiring around the handles and monitor was a bit fiddly. The bike is easy to set up for different users and to change and use the different exercise settings which are available. Both my wife and I use the exercise bike regularly and have found it to be a great help in maintaining and improving our general fitness. I have already recommended this particular exercise bike to friends and family who have also purchased it.

Good value, very solid as I am 6'5"and 17 stone. Is quite heavy to move and feels like good quality.

Bike very easy to set up,really nice and smooth to use.Various programmes usefull but working to heart rate or rpm much appreciated. Not very happy with the pedals supplied however,have now replaced them with pedals with toeclips and it is much improved

The heart rate not working all the time and my bluetooth heart rate sensor draining it battery and lasting about a month. The bike is very good.

My wife and I are a bit older but have been using this bike. So easy to set up and use various programmes to build from novice to regular user. No hesitation in recommending it

During lock down and having to self isolate because of my wife’s condition this bike has been a great benefit in keeping me fit simple to assemble good sturdy frame nice quite pedal motion use all the time no more to be said

After months of reviewing the bikes available we selected the AM-3i because it offered all the features we were looking for as a standalone exercise bike. An important factor for us was the was that it could be used with interactive services. In our case we created a Kinomap account and now ride the bike virtually all over the world. Interactive means that when the video shows you going up or down a hill, the bike automatically alters the resistance so that you genuinely feel like you are riding up or down hill. Excellent build quality. We ordered the Bluetooth heart monitor as well and link it and the bike to the mobile phone or PC apps. Brilliant product.

Bike is great but the seat is not comfortable at all, so unfortunatley it is not used.

The bike is highly adjustable depending on ones exercise needs or size and shape of the rider. The saddle is not the most comfortable. The machine is nicely compact and can be moved around quite easily but is not something to store away out of sight. Recommended.

Very good bike,couple of hours to assemble but pretty easy to do.Links well with Zwift if you use the HR2VP app.Seat could be a bit more comfortable but for the price a good purchase.

Its a good exercise bike, smooth loading with various exercise plans,or just set the desired resistance and go. I've found it good for helping with reducing foot and ankle pain, Its quiet in use and i like the display showing pulse rate, cals used and time. It was easy to assemble and has a firm base. I feel obliged to keep using it as ils hardly a beautiful lounge ornament...best Kev

Great bike , simple to assemble , have it paired with our iPad so we can cycle around different routes viewing the surroundings as we go .

Very disappointing. Doesn't track my distance, speed etc. Programmes don't work and changing the load doesn't do anything. So it's effectively just some high resistance pedals that can't be adjusted.

The exercise bike is very good and seems quite reliable. The assembly details were ok apart from the instructions for assembling the saddle being non-existent but fortunately a video on YouTube helped.

I purchased this bike in February and can honestly say it is an excellent piece of kit. Very sturdy ride and almost silent in use. The seat wasn't far enough back for me, but if you reverse the seat mount bar in the holder you get a few extra inches. I have purchased a narrower, deeper padded gel saddle for more comfort, but it was easy to change from the supplied one using the tools supplied to assemble the bike. I got this bike for £319.99 which was a real bargain considering the price is now £499.00, but you won't be disappointed even at this price. The distance is in km by the way, and it was initially disappointing not to have miles, but you soon get used to it.

My mum bought this as a birthday present for me last year. It's only had occasional use as I've found the seat difficult to adjust to and the handles couldn't take much weight before moving during use, and I couldn't tighten it up to get them to stay in place. Now the handles won't stay up at all.

Bike delivered on time today, only ordered it 3 days ago in lockdown. Well packaged, all perfect. All parts present and correct. Followed instructions closely - pretty easy and quite intuitive. Built after about 45 mins, it looked great. Tested it, works perfectly, very quiet, solid build quality. Seems a brilliant bit of kit for the price. I would like to have the option of switching between metric/imperial readouts on the computer. Very pleased though.

Great bike and all apps work and integrate with bike efficiently.All in family are using it.i had an issue in power adaptor and console getting switched off. sweat band team immediately posted new adaptor and cable for it. Very good customer service. Would definitely recommend

I’m a big chap and I found that the bike is very sturdy and heavy. It has a large comfortable seat and so far it is working well. The instructions could be improved, it’s a bit like an IQ test trying to translate the pictures, as there is no text, it did take a few hours. All in all it seems a very good bike!

I'm happy with this bike so far, certainly the price, but also my two main principal requirements were that it took my weight (125kg, max is allegedly 150kg) and that it had exercise programs that are computer adjusted, rather than just a manual setting. The seat is comfortable and the adjustments available to seat height and distance are fine for me. My only gripe is that the stats on the computer display are in metric only, so I'd have preferred that to be configurable to show miles rather than kilometers, or I'd have given this bike 5 stars. Certainly however I got a 5 star service from Sweatband as always, I've purchased all my equipment over the years from them and have enjoyed great customer service throughout.

Excellent for me, comfortable and the resistance plenty for me as a older beginner. Very good to be able to keep excercising when the weather outside is not good. One downside is nothing to do with Sweatband but DKN communication is non existant, have emailed twice about product registration and have had no response at all, very poor.

Self assembly was quite easy if diagrams followed carefully. All worked 1st time ! Very quiet when operating. Still to really get used to various programmes but certainly meets my expectations so far. Looks great ( all black) and represents my 4th indoor bike over about 30 years. Good delivery service by Sweatband and a keen price.

Had an issue with the bike but when it could not be resolved , a new one was delivered to me very promptly with no hesitation. The bike is very solid, very similar to those found in gyms. Does not generate much noise and very stable when cycling. For the price paid, unlikely to find a better bike.

The bike itself is very good with smooth action. It is much quieter than I expected and a solid sturdy product. Unfortunately the pulse sensors on the handlebars don't work. I did purchase a chest monitor that does work so can keep a check on heart rate. Disappointing thought that built in ones don't work. For that reason knocked one star off.

I am very impressed with the exercise bike, it is very well made and solid. Fairly easy to assemble as well. My family and I have been using the beginner programmes regularly and find them great for us. We have definitely improved our fitness and are excited to continue using it and working through the programmes which I am sure will be very challenging for any level. Also we are looking forward to using the fitness apps with Bluetooth.

Easy to assemble from quality parts. Feels very stable and smooth to ride

My 11 year old and I put the bike together easily. It is really quiet, I kept thinking I had forgotten to switch it on! I am getting back into exercise after a lot of years off, but my husband is a very keen cyclist (80 mile races with 700 ft of climb). This bike works for us both. We have only had a little go with the Kinomap, but that looks like a good tool. For the price this is a very good exercise bike and we we recommend it.

My reason for only rating this as a Acceptable is the extremly poor instruction manual. Putting the bike together was relatively easy however what the manual doesnt cover in any detail is any of the features and how to make use of them...very dissapointing!!!

This is a very smooth bike, and perfect for an amateur like me. The only issue I have is that the button lights are distractingly bright.

Only issue I have is with the seat......has a tendency to work loose and swivel when getting on and off! Other than that, a great exercise bike!

This was an awesome buy! I had no problems putting it together, took about an hour to do on my own. This thing is soooo quiet. Really good quality and a very good price.

Absolutely first class. It has an incredible range of settings and the resitances cover every need. What is more the handlebar pulse reader seems accurate. I haven’t yet worked out how to use the iPad properly but no doubt I will get there eventually. My only complaint is with the sellers. When I first set it up I could get no screen functions and no matter how I tried telephone or email I could get no help from them. I eventuality contacted a firm in Pershore who’s name I have forgotten and although it cost me about £90 it was money well spent the man who came was superb and he was so impressed with the bike he went off intending to buy one for himself

Firstly let me commend Sweatband on their sale of the bike to me. All correspondence was first class as was the tracking and delivery of the bike. Ordered on a Thursday it arrived on Monday as promised. The bike itself was pretty easy to assemble. the only time I needed another pair of hands was to connect the cables. The connection was a bit fiddly. The bike works perfectly...smooth and good change of resistance. My only real gripe is that DKN indicated they have 2 apps... but one is pretty basic and one is not supported any more.

I found the DKN AM-3i to be easy and simple to assemble and without any help I had it complete and working in approximately 45 mins. I think I could have assembled it faster but took my time as there was no need for any urgency.. Aesthetically, it looks the part and feels sound and solid during a workout - it easily accommodates my weight of 100 kg. If I have a complaint, it is with the seat. It regularly works loose and has to be frequently re-aligned and tightened. I would also have liked to position the seat horizontally further back from the handlebar, however; this can only be achieved if I turn the slider (H-4) 180 deg. I would also recommend that after you have used the exercise bike a couple of times you should check if any bolts/screws have worked loose and retighten where necessary. The integral programmes and resistance levels are good and sufficient for my needs. In addition, the ability to download and use the DKN "iWorld" and "Motion" apps are an added feature - this was the main reason why I chose the DKN AM-3i over 3 other comparable options Although the apps are, in my opinion; "basic" they are more than adequate to stir my interest and maintain my workout objectives during exercise periods - In fact, I have started to input my own routes using iWorld and additional programmes using Motion. In either instance the resistance levels change automatically to suit the terrain and the increased/reduced programme levels. The added ability to use alternative supplied apps has enhanced the functionality of the bike to provide a wider choice of workout possibilities. Overall, I am perfectly happy and satisfied with the DKN AM-3i that was supplied to me and hope my contentment lasts for a long time to come

The bike was easy to assemble, and feels like it's good quality. Unfortunately, the DKN iWorld app that goes with it is not so good. It gives very low resistance, and that can't be adjusted. I simulated cycling up a local hill at 22mph, when in reality I go up it at 10mph. But if you stick to using the controls on the exercise bike then you can set whatever level of workout you want, with automatically varying resistance throughout the workout. It's a good bike.

Bike is easy to assemble; it looks sleek and well designed. Cycling on it is quiet and smooth and there is more than enough resistance. Having not used an exercise bike for years I am still only using the 'beginners' programmes but these are varied and doing me well. Service and delivery were impeccable - details ignored by many sellers! I found this a very happy purchasing experience

This is a mid priced bike but would not be mis-priced if it was several hundred pounds dearer. It is very easy to assemble, with clear instructions and very few nuts and washers. The bike is excellent as an exercise vehicle and has fully lived up to the outstanding independent reviews that were so enthusiastic about it. The exercise programmes are good but it would be useful to have a short cut to them (and there well may be but I haven't fathomed them out yet).

everything about the bike is great, except the resistance, basically there isn't any really, at the top setting for 30 minutes I am not really breaking into a massive seat and unfortunately I am not that fit. I live in a very flat area and the highest resistance is no different to cycling outside on my local roads with the wind behind you
