DKN Studio 7400 Multi Gym

Disappointed that it’s now being marketed at £45 less than when it was purchased 3 weeks ago.

Firstly, I want to say, the lads delivering were stars, really helpful and literally did all the heavy lifting. I have now assembled the DKN 7400 multi-gym, and overall I am happy with it. As others have said, you need to carefully study the instructions, but with the aid of this YouTube video v=nwtevMDQ2KA and the pdf version of the instructions, which can you zoom in on, it's manageable. To cap it off, I picked it up with an extra 10% off discounted price, so was a genuine bargain imo.

This is the second piece of DKN fitness equipment I have bought as I think they are superb value for money. I bought a DKN cross trainer around 8 years ago which is still in excellent condition. I have used similar machines at a gym previously and I think the 7400 multi gym is a quality piece of kit. It is very smooth and comfortable to use. My wife and I are both quite short (5'6 and 5'2) but have no problem with doing the exercises we want to. The "adjustable seat" however only has two height settings. As many other reviews state, the assembly is a bit challenging and takes several hours. The instructions are accurate but it needs care and attention to detail to understand them fully. Nuts and bolts are labelled very clearly but the component parts seem to have a coloured dot identification system which I couldn't understand. However its not that difficult to find the right pieces as you go. It is worth having a nice clear space though and assemble in the final position you will use it as it is very heavy once assembled. I found a 17mm ratchet spanner the most useful tool to have. There are tools that come in the box but they're not ideal. You also end up with a huge amount of cardboard and plastic bags from all the packaging. The ordering and delivery from Sweatband was faultless. Delivered within a few days by two very helpful and polite young men. They called 1/2 hour before delivery and the tracking system showed their location. I would definitely recommend the DKN 7400 multi gym and Sweatband as a supplier.

We're pretty happy with this. We have some issues which stem from my being 5'2 and my husband being 6'3. I guess it would best suit those of more average height to get the absolute best of it. It's quiet and runs smoothly. The exercise sheet with it is beyond useless for anyone looking to get started from basics level and includes a few things this model doesn't have. We were surprised at that. The ankle collar/weight option appealed but there's nothing to hold on to so, in practice, it's hard to keep form to avoid injury. Overall we do like it, just not blind to its limitations for us. Excellent customer service from Sweatband on the two large purchases we've made.

Very good machine just a bit vague instructions when building it

We have had this two weeks now. Took approximately six hours to assemble. There is a Far East video on YouTube which helps immensely. The instructions when getting to the finer details can be vague. Excellent value for money, it works well, very smooth and you can do a good range of burning or bulking exercises. Only slight downside for me as a taller man I can’t achieve the full effect on the chest press. I also have to raise the seat as high as it will go to use the leg extension effectively. Other than those two points a great machine and excellent value for money.

Perfect for my needs at home more than enough weight ,only downside cables could do with being bit long range ,but over all fantastic peace of kit very happy with it

Very happy with DKN 7400 Multi gym. Took approx 5 hours to put together for 1 person, instructions are basic but screws and fittings are labelled in sections to match each page of instructions. I was dreading it but quite enjoyed putting it all together The gym itself is sturdy and easy to use, I'm already seeing results after a week of use. It's handy to have at home as you can work out in bitesize chunks during the say. I would recommend this multi gym

So glad I purchased this multi gym. It has really transformed my workout routine. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now 5/7 days a week. It is a good sturdy product with a smooth pulley system. Managed to construct on my own in 4.5 hours. Would recommend using a ratchet spanner and adjustable to tighten all the bolts. The quality of the materials is great. I’ve been really pushing myself during my workouts and it feels secure giving you confidence to workout harder without having to worry about movement or machine failure. The weight stack is more than big enough. This has actually made me enjoy my workouts more as it offers such diversity and allows you to target different muscle groups preventing workout boredom. I got it on a special offer with £200 off and so was an excellent price to. I’ve also already purchased different handle attachments for it to further increase the range of exercises I can do. It comes with a standard EZ bar and straight bar. Would 100% recommend.

Great piece of kit. 80 kg more than enough for me. Assembly not as difficult as some reviews have said although the tools supplied are not up to the job. 18mm, 17mm, 10 mm sockets and spanners do the job easily. Build quality very good. Everything fits together as it should even down to the rubber bolt head caps. If I was to be picky and find fault it would be with the leg extension set up. I'm 6' 2" with long legs and there's no adjustment in the pads, but I didn't buy it for the legs so yeah I'm being picky. Overall great piece of kit and deserved of the 5 stars

Solidly made multi-functional system with a sensible and manageable amount of weight for home use

Quick delivery excellent service, a bit of a nitemere to build. Well made bit of kit, could do with a better exercise wall chart.

32 yr old male athletic build. Very happy. Smooth pulley systems, weight is more than enough for most exercises. Good range of different workouts. About 4-5 hours to build. GET A SET OF WRATCHET SPANNERS, ou at least size 17. Only moan is, I wish the bar going through the plates was longer. If your using very light weight it comes out.

After recently getting rid of my free weights and numerous benches, I began to miss my training, so I decided to buy a multi gym. The DKN 7400 is a fantastic bit of kit and meets all my needs. As for the instructions, christ almighty, I didn't think I'd ever get it up and running. But don't let my experience put you off, as I'm generally useless at putting together stuff like this, so it was a massive achievement that I managed it at all.

Great piece of equipment to train the whole body. Took a long time to put together, the instructions were complicated in parts, would help having a bit more information on them. Also would have been good to receive an exercise program chart showing how to correctly use each piece for the novice trainers!

Sturdy machine with a decent 80kg weight stack. It was hard to find a machine for the price which could take my weight but this machine has a user weight of 150kg. My only gripe was the instructions to assemble. The nuts, bolts etc in the blister pack were numbered correctly with the instructions but all the main parts has differing arrangements of coloured dots which had no relation to the instructions?? Luckily I’m not to bad at this kind of thing and managed but it did take me quite a time to assemble.

I looked at a lot of multi gyms, but this was by far the best value for money. It’s great & you can do loads with it! Just allow plenty of time & patience to assemble, but it’s well worth it!

Great piece of kit. I purchased for my home gym because of lock down. It is a chore to build but well worth it. The bars that come with it are good too but I bought a tricep rope that completes the kit. If you are looking for a solid, reasonably priced home gym then this is for you. I’m medium build and the weight range is more than enough. I did have a small issue but the support at sweatband sorted in a jiffy. So you can buy with confidence. Special mention too for the delivery bhoys from panther logistics, absolute gentleman.

Arrived as ordered, no missing parts and did take around 5hrs to put together - not difficult, just a lot of parts ! My wife and I having been using the gym 3 to 4 times a week for the last 9 months. The weight stack is more than enough and all the pulleys and equipment are of a good quality. I find the gym excellent for the money and have no intention of rejoining my old gym. Would recommend it as a home gym.

Received promptly, took 2 of us to put together quite easily eventually, very very pleased with the product and we have had hours of workouts on the machine without any problems, bet thing I did in Lockdown was to install my own Gym.

I purchased this for my son and I to use during Lockdown. The gym has been used regularly and is still working efficiently with no sign of wear after 9 months of use. It did take a while to put together so you need to allow a few hours for this.

Excellent gym and build quality. I use 4-5 times a week and have no complaints. Only a small issue but there is some movement when using the preacher curl pad due to only using a lock pin to secure.

Very sturdy machine, Weights pulleys nice and smooth just wished their was a better exercise program planner with a lot more exercises for the DKN studio 7400 multi gym.I liked how all the parts were marked out and the order too assemble the gym, made it a lit easier

Delighted with this multigym. It's great value for money and relatively easy to build if you're patient. Only minor criticism on the build is that the pictures shown at the stage the pulley wheels are added could be clearer. Thoroughly enjoying using it now.

Great product for a home gym. The assembly was straight forward, however putting the cables and pulleys took an age. But once completed it’s a great bit of kit.

Very, very good gym. Follow the instructions to the letter and the build is pretty easy. Once built, it’s smooth and very sturdy indeed.

I absolutely love this gym. The build quality is amazing and the weight stack is the heaviest I could find for the money. Worth every penny.

Easy to set up, although it would be easier if undertaken by two people. It would have been nice to have a more comprehensive description of the relevant exercises, especially as the one page images which came with the equipment do not show the Studio 7400. I also would have appreciated having an exercise programme enclosed with the equipment, rather than having to surf the net to find something suitable.

Excellent multigym and much better than my previous one. It feels much more expensive than it actually is. Assembly not too bad either. For the money, this is brilliant.

Excellent bit of kit and can honestly say the customer service was superb - very quick delivery and spot on communication. Both my son and I have been impressed with the quality of the Multi Gym and it is well worth the money. The instructions for assembly could do with a little more clarity and, in my opinion, a socket set helped the assembly to be a lot quicker than it would otherwise be.

Extremely pleased with the quality of this product, which surpasses my expectations. The build instructions are well written and parts easily identified. The build went together very well without any problems. For its price, the product is well made and very versatile. My only criticism is the lack of operator instructions.

The multi gym is quality made and provides a great range of exercises. I read 100s of reviews on various gyms and am not disappointed with the product. Only thing to point out; if you are tall (I am 6ft2) the leg extension exercise if not suitable to use. Otherwise, very happy with the product.

Really pleased with this buy. It's the perfect finish to our gym. You can due numerous weight exercises. I would definitely suggest you measure the space available before you order as it is quite big. Also, this is one that you should pay the extra £175 for assembly. It comes with so many tiny parts that even the professionals that assembled it were scraping their head at times. It took them about 4 hours.

What a great piece of kit for the money. A little fiddly to put together and took a bit of time but worth it.Delivered on time in excellent packaging.It is sturdy,takes the hammering,looks great, but one word of warning to potential buyers,the seat is very short from the back to the foam rollers of the leg raise, so if you've got long legs( not a problem for me) you may find some of the exercises would become strained and lead to bad posture and possible injury.

The instructions need to be clearer, as some of the parts are not separated and easily mistakes can happen. Otherwise fantastic piece of kit

Love this bit of kit. Took a while to set up but once i did it easy enough to crack on with your workout. Probably wont ever use all the weight that come with it but you can push yourself as hard as you want then or just have a nice chilled session doing lots of lower weight reps. Pull downs can be a bit of a pain because its a bit crammed but otherwise ok. Well worth the money.

An excellent product, and really good value for money. It takes a little time to assemble it, which is par for the course, but it operates very smoothly, and with more than enough weight for most home trainers. I have trained with weights for over 45 years, and would thoroughly recommend the DKN Studio 7400 Multi Gym. You could pay much more for some of the big brand names, and not get a better gym. Sweatband provided excellent service and excellent delivery. First class, all round!

After about 1 year of use I can say that this multi-gym has fully met expectations. It's an excellent product to form the heart of a home gym, being sturdily made and easy to use. Initial assembly isn't for the faint-hearted, but if you can build Meccano, you'll be fine (and you only have to do it once!). All in all, good value for money and well worth buying.

be patient if you build it yourself but other than 20 pages of build instructions this is a fantastic gym, my son loves it and likes to use daily great arm, leg and weights options very strong good price great quality AAAAAAA+++++++

The Multi Gym has helped the whole family keep fit.We have lost a combined total weight of 3.5 stones a family of 3..Only wish we had gotten one sooner as its ideal for the family.

Nice compact multi gym, works well but it took a while to put together!! 100's of nuts & bolts although they were all packed in order of build it took a while to fathom out which pulley to use in which slot. Overall satisfied:)

The DKN Studio 7400 multi gym is a great product albeit, tricky to assemble (took me over 2.5hours). I am very happy with the quality and finishing of this gym. I have had no problems with it thus far and use it often. I would most definitely give this gym 5/5.

This is a fantastic multi-gym!!! I have owned a couple of multi-gyms in the past but this one is by far the best quality. Some of my previous ones were manufactured by big names, however, lacked stability and often felt unstable with creaky sounds when used on high resistance- this one is the total opposite- very sturdy and robust. Good amount of resistance levels too. I am overjoyed with this product, really am. I would highly recommend it to others! A very happy customer- just need to get Strong now!

The DKN Studio 7400 multi gym is a great all-round piece of equipment. The assembly was tedious but the manual was straightforward and easy to follow. We had it up and working within 2 hours. Great product with a wide variety of exercises -each can be performed to target different muscle groups. Well constructed & good finishing. I will be using Sweatband again as they provided a great service.
