York Perform Multi Gym

Very pleased with this purchase, seems very sturdy, delivery was very good, on time and curteous delivery staff. I would have liked the incline to go a bit higher, and a pause button.

The York Multi Gym is a fantastic piece of equipment. It does everything that it says. Great solid gym with silent pulleys. The instructions were great, it took approximately 6 hours to build, to make sure all the pulleys were all correct. Glad we chose this York multi gym and we are glad we chose this one as it was worth the extra bit of money than the cheaper one we saw from another brand as it does a lot of exercises to help lose weight and build muscle. Great service from sweatband, infact the service was faultless from placing the order right through to it being delivered. We would definitely recommend this York gym and sweatband as the supplier. All in all everything with this purchase is great.

Relatively easy to assemble but it's easier and quicker if you have a ratchet set (allow at least half a day). Also, only put the flywheels on by hand tightening at first because they need to come off at the final stage to attach the cables. The cables need to be fed through from the front of the machine to the back and you need to study the pictures to be sure you're confident with the flow. Other than that, good pictures and it's great the nuts and bolts are separated into steps.

Great multi gym

With its 100Kg weight-stack this is easily the best multi-gym for the money. Assembly instructions are nothing short of excellent - even shipped with the necessary tools. The family loves it.

Perfect robust multi gym. Plenty of weight . Easy to build. Could do with another chain for lat pull down.

With a very limited space in my garage this fitted and had the advantages of the 100 kg weight stack. Excellent instruction manual which made construction easy and they even supply tools. If you are big build this might be a bit tight in the seating area. Smooth quiet operation feels like it will last.

Well made gym, like other reviews it does take time to build to around 7 hours single handed….well worth it though. Delivery was quick and easy and no delays! Would definitely recommend to others.

Gym is great some numbers were wrong on assembly but gone together well could have had exercises just for this gym and parts not explained on the gym will contact Yorks web site

Take time to put together well multi gym is solid and has all the equipment needed. Small footprint.

Great for our garden gym. Two person job to put together and took some time but we’ll labelled with good instructions.

Item is quite a task to put together allow 6 hours , instructions are clear though , once it’s built it’s a nice bit of kit sturdy and does what it should.

Very happy with our purchase took a bit of time to put together instructions for cables could be made clearer. But know we got it together really pleased. Would of been 5 stars if instructions were clearer.

Excellent piece of kit.

Bought this over two weeks ago and it was missing the twin and single pulley brackets. Informed customer support straight away, they were told the parts missing and they said they would send them. Two weeks later no response to emails and still missing the brackets !!! Never buy from these people their customer service is ridiculous i’m reporting them to the ombudsman and Amazon !!!!!

Allow half a day to build. Machine is compact but a little unsteady due to narrow footprint. I bought this due to lockdown, so appreciate its never going to be like the gym. Chest press, doesn’t come far enough back and no adjustment to the seat, making the range of movement quite limited. Pec deck is a bit iffy. Lat pull down works ok but if you are over 5ft 10” forget it as the weight hits the stack before arms are full extended. Absolutely no chance with the tricep extension, as once again half way through the movement the stack is hitting the top of the machine. I’m going to remove some of the weight, which should help with a fuller range of movement. But to do this I’ve to strip the machine down. That said the full stack is hard to move, purely because all the plastic wheel and pulleys flex around and have a real awkward movement. All in all it will do as there is nothing else and it’s a decent price, but the overall design needs a good overhaul

Very good piece of kit, although it took most the day to put together the instructions were very good, the hardest part was attaching the cables and working the wheel system out, but the rest was straight forward. My family love it and are using it daily

Really pleased with the Gym. Set up was straight forward. Took about 5-6 hours on my own. Instructions were clear and tools were provided. Tighten up the cable protectors last though just to make sure they’re facing in the right direction! Good range of exercises available and the 100kg allows for progression. Some of the exercises range of movement is a bit restricted - notably chest press and the lat pull down (certainly if you’re over 5’ 7”). But would recommend as I’m more than happy with it. Given the current situation processing and delivery were all great. Thanks.

Great low cost multi-gym. The instructions were difficult to follow and I had to re-thread the cables a couple of times, but I’m happy with the product overall and the I found the company easy to deal with and relatively short delivery timescales.

Excellent product, excellent communication, excellent delivery

The gym is very compact and has a large weight range for its size. It could be a bit cheaper but it appears to be decent quality and hopefully you get what you pay for. It looks neat/tidy and was easy to put together with a socket wrench. I had a second hand york gym 5 years ago - it was great but took up a whole room but only went to 70kg. This version is far better, especially with a go faster stripe on the seat.

Not the best piece of equipment, not very stable. The base is not large enough, the bars for the bench press get in the way and are too short and need handles so the hands are horizontal. Cable is set slightly to the right because the pulley is on that side. I find this slightly disconcerting. To summarize I have had 4 previous multi gyms including a smith machine, and they were all better than this one. Thanks.

Nice and compact. Took my husband and I just 4 hours to build. 100kg is great for every beginner.

Took me about 6 hours to build on my own at a very steady pace, doing other things at the time, like looking after two young kids. Easy build though with very clear instructions. Good solid piece of kit very good quality and easy to use. All cables exactly the right length. Very pleased. Only fly in ointment is both the weight stack guards were cracked through the top bolt hole, but this does not affect its functioning at all.

Vynil weights, not many exercises for chest . Maybe just me but not much resistance . 6" movement before I get any resistance then actually only another 8" movement pushing weights . Not very good ,wish I had kept my weights bench for free weights !

Excellent build quality and good value for money. IT has most the features I wanted and am very happy with the product. Looks good to.

I found the building of the multi gym reasonably straight forward and completed it in around 3 hours. The action of the weight stack is really smooth and quiet, one of the best I've used. The range of exercises is good BUT... the cables catch on the pec deck function so this is less smooth and has also resulted in paint chipping from the frame and it's probably wearing the cables too. There doesn't seem to be enough range on the shoulder press function so it feels like the full range of the exercise isn't completed. If these could be addressed then this would be a superb multi gym. For the money spent on this I'm wondering if I should have bought a different one.

Compact well-made quality multigym.Arrived on time although packaging badly damaged but contents were all present and in good order.Instructions are clear just take your time and enjoy constructing this excellent product.Looks the business in my utility room.Just one point to make when using the lat pull- down,sit facing the weights for unhindered performance.

I found this to be an excellent multigym. The action is very smooth and the gym is well built ... The instructions are quite clear which helps. It is easy to use and suitable for all levels of ability. Very compact and looks good in a small space. So you don't need too much room for it. I did wonder if I was going a bit over the top with this gym (as I just wanted a gym to help with general fitness), however I am now very pleased that I bought this one and think that at this price, it is very good value for money.
