I am very happy with it, easy enough to assemble and works smoothly and silently

Works really well, I didn't seem to have the right washer sizes for the footplates so put these on without the washer and removed the large sticker along the main beam as whenever I went over this it made the seat bump but apart from that it is great. Very smooth and quiet.

This rowing machine is very sturdy and has a quiet operation.The 7kg flywheel improves the workout. When not in use the rower is folded upright & sits tidy in the corner of my room.A minor criticism would be that the foot straps could be improved & maybe have two for each foot. The price was good & my wife is keep to use it too.

Absolutely love my rowing machine. Top notch quality and easy to assemble. Ordered it on the Monday and came on Wednesday. Would definitely recommend this company.

Great work out, seems like good quality. Only problem was the transfers on the seat track, made it sound like a train so removed them and everything is great.

Never used one before so it's my first time. Felt a bit easy to pull on setting 10 to start with but realised the faster you pull it the harder the pull feels. Seat slides nicely, it's not noisy as people say. I think it's a good bit of kit. Only just started using it so can't tell you the results. Very pleased with it.

This is my 2nd Sumi rower from Sweatband after gifting my old one to my blind brother to build his fitness as he struggles with a treadmill or turbo trainer. The Sumi is a great piece of kit; simple to assemble and fold up for storage. Straightforward to use and very robust. Sweatband ordering process is very simple; delivery was within 2 days - excellent customer service.

So far I am very pleased with my rowing machine. The construction is really sturdy and it was easy to put together. The display is easy to read while using the machine, and tells me all the stats I need to know like calories burned, distance rowed etc. Also, there is a good range of resistance to work up to. I do a low resistance row for a couple of minutes to warm up and then turn it up a few notches, I think its a good all round workout from home. Like the other comments I took the stickers off the bar to make it quieter.

The Viavito Sumi was fairly easy to put together. My family and I have been using this everyday and getting the positive effects as it is a all round fitness rowing machine. The machine is silent with the only sound from the seat moving back and forth when exercising. When tidying up this can be folded up and put away to one side which has wheels for ease of moving it. This is a good quality rowing machine and is well built.

This has been a revelation! Came quickly, was best priced and was easy to put together. It folds up easily and neatly and has been a great addition to our household. Getting back into working out after a serious illness and this has been something I can start out slowly and build my fitness levels up with. Even enjoying it! Great little rowing machine and would recommend to anyone. Fab!

After about 6 uses over the last fortnight since delivery the machine has performed really well. I am 6'1" and it is plenty big enough for me. No issues so far. Would recommend as it appears to be good value and quiet.

Early days yet with the rowing machine, but initial thoughts are very encouraging. The machine is well built, sturdy and very quiet in operation. It’s the ideal choice for me, age 73 and I’m sure for other age groups who just need a practical rowing machine for home use rather than going to the gym.

Put it together a few days ago. Reasonably easy to assemble. Seems sturdy and takes up little space. As others have commented, the stickers on the rail have started to peel off after a few days and they make the movement noisy and bumpy as the seat travels over so I'll remove them for a smoother and more comfortable movement. So far, pleased with the rower and the price and would recommend.

Bought this because of previous purchase of exercise bike of the same make, that was 2years ago and still in top working order. So why not buy from Sweatband again, this rower is very smooth, easy to assemble, and does the job. only thing take the transfer off the seat bar for smoother use. Brilliant, foldable, space saver

The machine is a great piece of machinery and works well, however, the product arrived with a number of flaws. Part of the casing was already snapped before coming out of the box, the wire connector for the display seems very fragile and part of the casing came out of the box with paint already worn away…

This is a great machine for home use. Pre lockdown, I regularly used the rowing machines in the gym so wanted a home one. After much research I chose this one and for the money it is excellent. It is also easy to fold away during the day too. For the money and for home use, it is pukka.

This is an ideal machine for someone wanting to maintain a reasonable level of fitness! It is light but robust, easy to move around and does the job!

I use this rowing machine at least five days out of seven and it gives a good workout even at level four. The build quality is greatwith no signs of wear after many months of use. The display gives lots of info from distance to number of strokes.

It does what it's meant to do - no more no less. I'm not sure why some people complain about the quality - if you do the workout using the proper form then the machine functions brilliantly!

I have been using my Sumi for almost 1 year and just about every day. The machine is reliable and robust and folds up into a very small space. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to keep fit at home. Peter

I love this machine. Simple and Sturdy it’s been getting use across the family and provides a great workout. I’ve been able to gradually ramp up my usage and build my fitness and strength over the last few months. Great value for money and highly recommended.

I use it almost every day and still looks good. Everything working good and I may say I am really happy with it.

All works well & smoothly so far. Limited use as yet ,but it has not shown any signs of wear & tear. Pleased with quality and price.

The machine is very different to the concept 2 in that there is no run after the stroke so the timings for set distances are much slower. However, once accustomed to the slower times the machine e is a joy to use. It's VERY smooth and quiet. I removed the lettering on the shaft as that was noisy, so problem solved. I use it a lot and have had no problems with it. would I recommend it....yes.

Good space saving design and feels well built. Enough resistance for a decent workout for the average user, probably not enough there for rowing enthusiasts though. The handle is a little thick, which puts a bit more strain on your fingers and forearms when in use, but overall decent !

We’ve had this for a couple of months now and are really impressed. Bought in lockdown when gyms closed. It’s functionality is close to a much more expensive fixed rower. I’m 6’ and the rail is long enough for me on a full leg extension. Very stable in use and folds up in moments. Would be heavy to lift, but the wheels mean it’s easy to push back to the corner to fold up. We wanted a proper rowing machine experience but that took up little space when not in use. That’s exactly what we got. Brilliant

As a woman in my seventies, this machine is ideal for indoor exercise - I only have it on level 3 of 10 so plenty of room for stronger people to test themselves! My first parcel was damaged but Zsolt from Customer service efficiently arranged a new delivery and I built the machine fairly easily. Some users have mentioned that the movement was not smooth, but I found that removing the Viavito stickers solved this. Also, I find the labels on the display difficult to read- I can read the figures, but not what they represent, so have added my own labels either side of the display screen. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Excellent value for the money. I have been using it for 3 months now, and has definitely helped to get my body back into shape, especially after the gym was closed because of COVID19. Has also helped with my wellbeing - fit body, fit mind.

Use every day very good value for the money

Great value for the money. This is not a Concept II, so don't expect it to be a top of the line machine. But it is a perfectly decent rower to keep you fit at a fraction of the price. The highest resistance rating is tough enough, and the foot plate placement is nice. The slide is a little noisy, and the reach at the catch is a bit shorter than I would ideally like, but you get used to it. I use it as a part of a cross-training routine with an elliptical machine and a calisthenics circuit, rather than as a dedicated 'rowing only' plan.

I was a bit unsure about this but really pleased with it. Bought it to replace a very old hydraulic system I was given a couple of years back. It's pretty compact but solid. Comfortable for me to use in a restricted space, I'm 182cm/84kg. The tip about removing the stickers from the seat bar is sound. I use my phone as a timer and just keep an eye on the strokes/minute count.

I am delighted with my Viavito Sumi....it is everything I had hoped it would be. I am seeing great results already and feel so positive after a good workout.

While it is not the easiest thing to set up, I really like it. It is easy to use and folds away nicely. There is a locking screw to keep it from falling, which could have been designed better but this is a minor thing. It seems to be well built and does the job. It may not be suitable for professionals but easily meet my needs.

I think it's a good machine. So far no issues, apart from a squeak on higher settings. The fold up mechanism works well, although if it latched to make moving it slightly easier would be nice. The Viavito sticker on top isn't best placed as seat wheels go over it each time, which will eventually wear it the logo I am sure. Overall very happy so far.

Had to replace my Bodymax after the tension feed broke just out of warantee and this had good reviews. Love the fact that it has the heavier flywheel and the level 7 tension is harder than level 10 on the bodymax it is also quieter and very easy to fold and move it takes up minimal space in our 1 bed flat,it’s also a fab colour, all in all perfect for me at the moment.

Easy to use and does not take too much space for a proper machine. More than worth the money and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Its brilliant easy to use for me and my husband and we are both over 60 years old

Body where handlebar rests upon got cracked within 5 days after a very minor incident during use (handlebar slipped out of my grip & retracted too quickly causing the breakage) so it is not sturdy. It still works ok but that was very disappointing. Through regular use I have built up a tolerance to the maximum resistance setting so shame it doesn't have a stronger setting, however I have just increased the duration of each workout & have upped the pace of each repetition to get more exercise out of it. It is very easy to roll out of the way so love its design.

Viavito Sumi rowing machine is really good machine to use. It stores very nice and neatly. The only grip I would have is its quite noisy when the rollers go over the Viavito sumi stickers, but once you remove them and place them underneath its a lot better.

Arrived in good time by courier. Jan 2020. Packing was quite good and comprehensive. Assembly following the instructions was about 15 minutes to put the rower together. In use the machine is smooth and the varying resistances work in a uniform way. Quality of finish and the fittings looks to be quite OK and not cheap looking. Not any need to regularly fold the machine but see that saves space when not in use if needed.

The family resolution this year was to get fit. And needed a small n compact machine. This is brilliant does the job and so easy to configure the best resistance 1-10 on the dial, higher the figure, the more resistance u get.i have recommended this to a friend and has just purchased 1 for her family 10/10

A good solid machine. Instructions and packaging , the best I've seen. The construction details were accurate and concise, with the required nuts, bolts and pieces packed in groups relevant to each step. Had it up and running within 30 minutes. A miracle for me.

Very good, compact rower. Quite straightforward to assemble. Very sturdy and resistance range should suit all but the high end fitness people. Comfortable for a 6 footer. After sales support very good. All in all very pleased, would happily recommend.

Great starter rowing machine that is quiet and easy to use. The resistance setting lets you choose the level of workout you want by turning a dial so its quick and easy. When not in use i fold it away so it takes up a a fraction of the space. Its a solid piece of kit that is both stable when in use (i was 17 stone when i first started using it) and when folded away in its upright position. Unfortunately the coil that winds the handle back in broke on my machine after nearly a year of constant use. I got in touch with the customer services team who were very helpful resulting in me getting sent a replacement and things have been fine since.

Good sturdy construction, works well, variable resistance works well. I've used it every day for 3 weeks now and very pleased. One tip - remove the stick-on pvc lettering and logo on the runner strut. The ride is noisy and not very smooth otherwise. Definitely recommend this piece of equipment

Smooth action and feels as if it is good quality. However, not easy to fold which was a bit disappointing as we are short of space. Certainly doesn't "fold" without unscrewing and rearranging a few of the components!

Great bit of exercise equipment- not used to much exercise, but this seems to be working, to tone me up!

Easy to fit together and fairly easy to move when complete. The start moves well and the tension dial let's you set your own level of resistance. It is fairly compact which is an advantage for using in a smaller room.

We initially ordered this rowing machine and had problems with a smashed display screen. Subsequently left a poor review - however the customer service received from sweatband.com has been unbelievably good. They have replaced the affected parts quickly and been very helpful in ensuring we are now able to use the machine. My family are very happy with it and it is working perfectly - waiting for those abs to appear soon :)

I bought this after reading generally good reviews. I didn't want a super cheap one but didn't want to spend a lot as not sure whether I would like it, very pleased with the price. It is my first rowing machine after a knee injury forced me to get rid of my treadmill so all new to me. I am overall very happy with it, the resistance is great, I can only manage it on 3 at the moment, I was put off a lot of other machines when reading about their poor resistance. My hubby is happy with the resistance also, he can manage more than me. The computer takes a bit of getting used to but does the job. It tells me I'm burning 250 calories in 30 mins, that will do for starters. It was one of the better looking machines and looks good folded up in the corner of my conservatory, looks much better than the treadmill and takes up much less room. So far so good, I think it will be a good alternative to my treadmill :-)

The rower is good quality, sturdy and stable, it was easy to put together, folds up to limit the space it takes up and is overall a good quality item. It's used 4-5 times a week by myself (172 cm tall), but it also is suitable for much taller users (as used by my husband - 192 cm tall). It has an easy to use screen that goes through each of the stats and also has an auto pause function, so if you stop, it will also stop - all in all, a good useful machine for someone that wants to work out for fitness.

The only problem I have as I have small feet is the foot plates. A choice of large or small would be nice. Otherwise very happy with the machine.

The machine was easy to put together and seems substantial. I've "enjoyed" using it, it is possible to alter the resistance and monitor various aspects of the workout.

This rower is everything I had hoped for and more. The build quality is excellent. It is compact yet easily assembled and folds for easy storage. It's comfortable in use and a pleasurable workout - which makes me want to use it every day. It is whisker quiet so it doesn't impact others in the home. Perfect. It really is a value for money rower with great features.

Build quality very good all at a very reasonable price. Cannot compare to others as I have no experience if them, but this one is good.

Great machine. Good solid quality. Easy to put together and great to use. The price is great value for money. Easy to move from lifting onto from wheels and simple to fold. The only noise comes from the seat rolling back and forth - so not much! The tension settings go from hardly any resistance to very hard. My wife and I are very happy.

Equipment was easy to assemble and so far seems robust (only had it a week). There is a loose washer that will undoubtedly become lost soon (but is probably easy to replace) and the LCD display is a little tricky to use in relation to working out how far/many calories per session. Other than that, seems great - the fact that it is foldable is really useful.

Easy to assemble, up and rowing in 20mins

Everythings if going fine with the rower since it was delivered. I bought it just for myself to use a couple of times a week. For the money its fairly decent but I have used superior rowers before so I do see the difference.

This is a really good rower. Exactly what I needed. I use it everyday and it feels like the real thing! It was delivered quickly and nicely parceled so it was easy to put together. I use it for interval training 20 seconds fast rowing followed by 20 seconds rest and it delivers everything I wanted from it.

Emailed two places for info and this was the only company to reply. The person took the trouble to ask questions to ensure I obtained what I needed. There were a few emails going back and forth, you know how it is, the reply invoking other questions. The emails could not have been answered quicker. Delivery was pretty speedy too. The machine is of good build quality.

The rower itself is fine. Fluid motion and very quick delivery/assembly. My only gripe is the LCD display. I don't think it's that accurate when compared to other rowers I've been on for instance my distance in 2 minutes is much higher than when I use the gym rowers. For the money it does the job I bought it for.

This rower was purchased to replace an older model from a different manufacturer. The quality of this item surpasses its predecessor by quite some distance! I found this one particularly easy to install and in terms of functionality for the price it is very good. It's Smooth to use and I have found it very user friendly.

Me and my partner were very pleasantly surprised at how easy to install this machine was. Once it had been delivered, we carried it upstairs and put it together in no time at all! We both use it on a regular basis and can't fault its functionality especially for the price. The great thing about the Sumi is how it can be easily folded away once finished with which is ideal if you don't have much space.

Love it, looks massive in the box. But then when it's put together (tricky like all self assembly items), it looks slim and nimble. The folding feature is brilliant, looks like an upright vacuum. It also has wheels to slide around, instead of worrying about lifting it.

This rower replaced 2 previously swapped York machines that developed squeaks and frayed belts (must be a design flaw with the rollers/guides). A more substantial product than the previous rower. Assembly reasonably easy, although watch out at Step 2. ""Take off the cushion (24)"" refers to the bump stops at the rear of the slide rail (the other end to the mainframe). Also Step 3 , if you tighten the protective guard first (28) to the stand rail you cannot get at the hex bolt /nut to affix the stand rail to the slide way.All in all a much smoother operation and much better quality seat (no more sore bits!)you cannot get at the hex bolt /nut to affix the stand rail to the slide way. Working full time meant that I needed a piece of equipment for home. No problems at all with the rower and the delivery was fast and hassle free. Was a little worried about it slipping on our laminate flooring but it has proven to be very steady and robust. My husband is also using the machine and we're both really happy with it. The seating position is really good and it feels like it should cost more!

Drawings were not overly clear when putting the machine together but this was purchased for my stepson who is using it regularly and enjoying every minute of it. Would have a 5/5 apart from the assembly instructions

Easy to assemble following instructions in about 20 mins. Was pleasantly surprised at how smooth this rowing machine is! The folding mechanism works well too.
